LRRAT’s instructional mission is to bring together professionals who not only teach the material and skills but to have also have personal experience using these skills in real world operations. This experience has allowed the instructors to develop training exercises and drills to maximize the effectiveness of the curriculum for each of the students.
OUR MISSION
Little River Range and Training, LLC was born from a discussion among a group of like-minded professionals about the state of the U.S. and how as of late, more and more, we have heard on the news about innocent people being attacked and not knowing how to defend themselves. We felt there was a need for well-qualified and certified instructors to come together and review what training is available to the public. During this conversation, we realized that our group of instructors at Little River Range and Training has a unique combined history. With over eighteen years of higher education, over thirty years of specialized military training, sixty plus years of law enforcement training and, we have come together to design a training curriculum that will help our community be safer and more prepared to face dangerous situations.

Little River Range and Training, LLC has a goal of helping people feel safer in this uncertain time we live in. Today, more people are buying firearms and wanting to expand their training, so they are able protect themselves and the ones they love. Once they purchase the firearm, they research what classes they need to take to expand their knowledge and skills. It is our goal to help people learn how to use this firearm in a safe, controlled, and knowledgeable environment. We have developed a system that allows individuals from a beginner to a veteran shooter to test their skills by using our live fire range, virtual reality range, and our in-house Ultimate Training Munition and shoot house, which enables our students to interact in real time with real world scenarios with the firearm they will be using for defense. We want to help our students learn how to avoid dangerous situations, but if necessary, how to respond and neutralize the threat.

Instructors were knowledgeable, patient and well-equipped to train folks whose skill sets were at beginner level. The instruction provided was specific to the participant and the weapon being used, which, of course, helps gun owners deal with any limitations that might apply. The drills (some of which I can replicate, dry-firing at home) and direction on stance, grip and sight give me areas to work on when I hit the range next. Safety was always first. Great training.

I've taken 2 classes with LRRAT now, Winters Edge Pistol Combatives and Reactive Pistol 1. Both classes were awesome. It was a fun, safe, learning environment both times. It's not every day you get to experience shooting in and around cars, and clearing rooms during live fire. The classes are well organized, and well paced. The training staff has decades of law enforcement and military training, many of whom have experienced lethal encounters in their careers. I highly reccomend them, especially for the high value pricing. I plan to take several more classes in the future.
