This course is designed to give the student the fundamentals, skills and knowledge of firearm safety and how to safely handle and operate the different types of pistols. The course will cover the following information:

• The different types of pistols
• Proper grip
• How to acquire a proper sight picture
• How to load and reload the pistols
• How to properly and safely clear malfunctions
• How to break down and clean the pistols
• Proper storage of the pistols
• And more

Within this course we have added additional training utilizing UTM Training rounds. Each student will fire 10 rounds of ammo at a target with our Mantis X training system to provide the student instant feedback on our computers as to how they are shooting. If any adjustments are needed, the instructor will coach the student on what needs to be addressed.

At the end of the course, each student will receive the NRA Certification for Basic Pistol and the Little River Range and Training, LLC Basic Pistol. These certifications will allow the student to take the Reactive Pistol Level 1 Course.
